How to manage your time: How to Make Your Studying Time More Effective

There is a special formula that was created for the most efficient studying technique. I only use this method now and boy does it work well! Here is the Pomodoro Technique that you might be interested in:

time management tips for high school students

This is how it works:

  1. Work for 25 minutes
  2. Take a 5 minute break
  3. Repeat 4 times
  4. After the 4th cycle, take a longer 30 minute break
The amount of memory retention you get from this method is insane and will ultimately save you time in the long run!
I recommend setting a timer for the 25 minute cycles just so you stay on track. Avoid using your phone during the breaks and instead, go grab water or a snack.
Combining this technique with tip #4 can help you stay motivated and continue to study hard.

More darkness as Eskom escalates load shedding to stage 4 from Wednesday 09:00

Cape Town – Eskom has announced that stage 4 load shedding is set to be implemented from 09:00 on Wednesday to 05:00 on Friday.
Thereafter load shedding will be lowered to stage 2 until 05:00 on Monday morning, the power utility said in a statement.
“It is with a great deal of disappointment that Eskom has to inform the public that further failures overnight of generation units has necessitated the implementation of Stage 4 load shedding starting at 09:00 this morning. Unfortunately, this has to continue until 05:00 on Friday. Thereafter load shedding will be lowered to Stage 2 until 05:00 on Monday morning,” said Eskom.
It continued: “Overnight a unit each at Kendal, Duvha, Camden and Kusile power stations tripped. Since then, we have returned four units to service. However, these units still need to ramp up to full output, which necessitates a high usage of emergency generation reserves today. This being the fourth day of extremely high diesel usage, the emergency reserves are being depleted faster than can be replenished”.

Eskom had initially announced on Monday that it had implemented stage 2 load shedding from 21:00 until o5:00 on Wednesday. It further extended it to Saturday morning.
The electricity utility apologised for the implementation of load shedding, saying it “will continuously review the situation and act appropriately as circumstances change”.
